What You Give Out Comes Back – The Story of Coast2Coast FTK
In 2014, Norman Horn embarked on a 6 1/2 months walk across the United State to raise awareness and funding to benefit the pediatric cancer community at Hershey Children’s Hospital.
Along his journey, he raised $56,000, spoke to many large groups, and held 31 live media interviews. The physical accomplishment was significant, not only for him, but for those he was also fundraising for.
This cross-country trek was deeply transformative for him as a person. Norman will share the challenges and surprised he encountered on the road, stories of the people he met, and that if you set out to do good things, lend a hand and help others, the favor will be returned.
Norman Horn is currently the Director of Development at the Chester County Food Bank.
He earned a B.S. in Kinesiology and Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition from Penn State University.
As the founder of Coast 2 Coast FTK, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing awareness to pediatric cancer, he is also involved in fundraising for a number of programs to change hunger and malnutrition in the Greater Philadelphia area.
Norman is currently in the process of penning the rich and fruitful experiences and lessons from his journey across the US as part of his fundraising for Coast 2 Coast FTK. It is that trek which he present at TEDXWestChester
