Executive Director and TEDxWestChester License Holder
Angeline is a co-founder and board member of the Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center, and also runs OnMarket Solutions, a consultancy assisting small businesses with marketing, communications and business development. Angeline has recently founded a small business and leadership incubator where women help women to grow and thrive. The inaugural Women Willpower Summit, held this past May at the theater, brought celebrated local leaders together with aspiring businesswomen and entrepreneurs.
Angeline delights in bringing new endeavors to light and helping to grow local communities.
Co-Organizer and Sponsorship Chair
Kane is President of Internetseer the world’s largest website monitoring service that alerting customers when their website is down or slow. He has co-founded and run several internet businesses such as Marine.com, Sailnet.com and others. He also co-founded Crystal Signatures, a local crystal manufacturing company designing and creating the finest lead crystal awards in the world that included gifts of State for Presidents of the United States, International sporting trophies, and corporate gifts.
Kane’s enthusiasm and passion for bringing the Arts to West Chester is contagious. He brings new marketing ideas to grow community awareness and engagement.
Sue is a Clinical Operations Manager of Finance and Contracts Specialist with PRA Health Sciences. In addition to her work in the world of Clinical Trials she spent over 15 years in film and video production as a Director, Production Coordinator and Script Supervisor. She serves as House Manager for The Dramateurs, Inc. at the Barn Playhouse and has served on the Boards of local theater and vocal ensembles. Sue is a founding member of the vocal Group Girls’ Night Out.
She has a great love of theater and music, spending much of her time involved in local theater as an actor and singer. Be sure to catch Sue on stage!
Speaker Liaison and Coach
Barbara is a Senior Account Manager with AOIC LLP, a Global Scientific Medical Communications Agency, based in Exton, PA, which provides support for the publication of clinical study manuscripts. She has a BA in Theater from Penn State University. Barbara has served for over 25 years in non-profit organizations, developing content and coaching speakers, teachers, and trainers for stage and on camera international events.
Barbara enjoys the discovery process of working with speakers and actors to find their natural speaking style.
Angela M. Scully
Event & Ticketing Lead
Angela is Executive Director of the Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center, West Chester’s exciting new theater. The Uptown! Theater is an alliance formed to promote various cultural and civic experiences through theater, music, dance and film in West Chester, Pa. Uptown! Before joining Uptown!, Angela was the Executive Director of the Darlington Arts Center in Garnet Valley and Singing City Choir in Philadelphia as well as other positions in the region.
In addition to her work with nonprofits, Angela is a self-taught artist whose work can be found in galleries and coffee shops around the Philadelphia area.
Volunteer Coordinator and Events Team
Jenna’s passion for helping people began at a young age. As she grew from bus girl to restaurant manager, she realized Tourism and Hospitality Management was her future. While earning a degree in the field she moved to Los Angeles to work for the hot boutique hotel company, SBE. She loves connecting people to places and helping people navigate their surroundings. Jenna is a manager at a West Chester culinary favorite, The Market Street Grill, and brings her people and event management experience to our events team. As our TEDx volunteer coordinator, she will help to welcome our “day of” TEDx volunteers and as well as our attendees on the big day.
Jenna is always on the look out for new and exciting experiences in marketing, entrepreneurship and event planning. Ask anyone – her optimism and warmth are contagious!
Co-Producer; Stage Director
Julie’s involvement with theatre began with Gilbert & Sullivan 25+ years ago. She performed, produced, directed, painted sets and served on the board of the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Chester County for much of that time and oversaw sets, props, costumes and more. She also has worked with other Delaware Valley theatre companies over the years. Additionally she has appeared in and directed productions at the International Gilbert and Sullivan Festival in England, earning several awards for her performances. She has served as a soloist with Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in West Chester, PA; and as a guest soloist at area churches. She works with her husband Richard May at RKM Advisors, now a Baldwin Investment Company.
She is known to burst into song when the occasion presents itself.
Managing the website and making sure everyone hears about the TEDx West Chester event. A long time TED/TEDx follower. A personal branding and business development coachsultant, she works with speakers, solo-preneurs, and small companies to bring out that big idea, bring it to life, and to get the story heard. She loves lightbulb moments.
Connie is currently the assistant director of marketing for education, prelaw programs, and member support services at the Law School Admission Council. She earned her BA in communication studies from Widener University. As an experienced marketing strategist, she has created successful campaigns for diverse brands ranging from well-known consumer brands to financial services to higher education. Connie has volunteered with the Philadelphia chapter of the American Marketing Association, and is an active member of the marketing technology community in Philadelphia.
A passionate foodie, Connie aspires to eat her way around the world one day!
TEDx Advisor, Former TEDx Licensed Orgnizer
Richard is a co-founder, former Treasurer and now serves on the board of the Uptown! Kanuer Performing Arts Center. He is also past President of the West Chester Public Library, Past Chairman of the Business Improvement District, and President of RKM Advisors: a Baldwin Company, providing investment advisory services to individuals and entities. Richard is the former license holder for TEDxWestChester and serves in an advisory capacity. The Greater West Chester Chamber of Commerce honored Richard as the Citizen of the year in 2017.
Richard can often be found chatting with citizens on the streets of West Chester.
